I know how overwhelming and frightening anxiety and stress can be. I suffered for many years not realising what it was. I thought there was something innately wrong with me or that I simply didn’t have the capacity to be happy. I was nervous all the time, agonising about anything and everything. I tried to control people and things too much because that made me feel more secure, but it caused problems in my relationships. I tried self-medicating, alternative therapies, lavender oils, supplements – anything in a bid to feel better, feel ‘normal’.
So I know what you’re going through. I know how debilitating it can be and how it gets in the way of being happy, joyful and fully yourself. How exhausting it can be because you are constantly thinking, worrying, second guessing what’s going to happen next, frightened that you won’t cope. It makes you scared and very unhappy.
The turning point came for me when I decided to take back my life by studying anxiety – get to know your enemy as they say – and I learned everything I could about stress, anxiety and depression. I became an expert on myself and on anxiety. I studied Neuroscience, Positive Psychology, Stress Management, Anxiety Reduction, Mindfulness, Cognitive Hypnotherapy, Neurolinguistic Programming and much more. I studied with recognised institutions, devoured the research and the received wisdom on the subject.
So now I can pass on this knowledge to you to guide you to manage it better, so that you can finally be free of anxiety for good and get better at managing your stress. You can finally believe that it doesn’t have to be like this forever. You can get your life back, be free.
